YouTube streamers are found again

YouTube changed the way it lists live channels and StreamScope stopped seeing them. It now reads the new layout, finds channels through their videos as well, and matches @handles.

Unsure matches are marked

Streams that are a close guess rather than a certain match now show a question mark: white when the match is likely, orange when it is only a guess.

Sharper YouTube matching

YouTube matches are judged on the channel's @handle too, so real matches are marked as certain more often, and channels with non-Latin handles are read correctly.

Cookie notice no longer hides results

YouTube results are no longer blocked by the cookie notice shown in Europe.

No more stuck searching

A player no longer stays stuck on "searching" if one of their results fails to load.

Accurate viewer counts

Viewer counts are rounded properly, so 1.9K no longer shows as 1K.

Friend colors

Pick a color per friend, and their name and icon show in that color in the players list. Custom streamers get a tinted row.

Exact match history

"Last match" now groups players by the actual match, and lists are sorted alphabetically.

Smarter name reading

Stylized fonts, look-alike letters, invisible characters, leet spellings, glued clan tags and xX_name_Xx wrappers are all seen through. Only whole words are searched, so more streamers are found with fewer junk lookups.

Fewer false matches

Big channels that only loosely resemble a name are no longer mistaken for that player.

Better Twitch coverage

4-character names get an exact-name lookup, and tag misspellings like twtch and twitchtv are recognized.

Settings survive a mid-save close

Settings, license key and credentials can no longer be lost if the app closes while saving.

Works without an audio device

StreamScope now runs on PCs that have no working audio device.

Adapter restarts properly

The adapter is restarted correctly if it fails to become ready.

Lower overlay CPU use

The overlay uses less CPU during matches.

Damaged history no longer blocks startup

A damaged player history database no longer stops the app from starting.

Twitch tries the next candidate

When the best Twitch match just went offline, the next candidate is checked instead.

Early match alert

StreamScope detects a match a few seconds early and warns you with a sound, giving you time to back out if you want a different lobby.

Queue-sniping match ID

A new Advanced tab shows your match's unique ID, even full screen, so you and a teammate can confirm you're landing in the same lobby.

Skip teammates

Keep your own team out of searches so StreamScope only looks up the enemies you actually want to find.

Global sound toggle

Turn every gameplay alert on or off in one place, so you can run StreamScope completely silently on stream.

Enemy streamers stay visible all match

Fixed a Battle Royale bug where the player board cleared after the bus dropped. Flagged by the community and patched quickly.
